Trying to fix origin issue. #369

Implementation Notes:

Add some additional logging to API to determine the cause of problem with allowed-origins
Make it so empty strings pass (hopefully this is the issue with API)
Will update the CHANGELOG once I resolve #368

Breaking changes:

This means the dev has the same workflow as QA, will undo this in the next PR (if this is indeed the issue).

Merging so I can test on DEV and will submit a real PR once I know the proper solution.
