Feature request: screensharing specific screens or application windows #226

Screensharing on Wire is nigh-unusable when it comes to showing what happens in a small window on a multi-monitor setup. There can also be privacy issues when it comes to the person you're screensharing to getting to see data they shouldn't. Would it be possible to make it capture a specific window, or, if that's not possible, at least a specific screen?

Tell me more please ? If you have multi-monitors, Wire will ask you which of them to share right after activating screen-sharing. Resolution should be fine once a monitor is selected. What exactly is happening ?

What OS are you using ?

Hello!

I'm on Debian Linux, using xfce as a desktop manager. Starting a screen share session just shares all my screens as a single giant canvas, with no select-a-monitor option being proposed. If the other person is using Wire on a small screen, this makes things kinda unusable.

Hi, is there any news on this? Also on macOS and Linux KDE there is no option to select which screen to share. This makes the text unreadable to be useful. Indeed, I use multiple monitors.

on Ubuntu 18.04 there is no option to select which screen or window to share. Not practical when using big and multiple screens!
