Here are some ideas we discussed for the user experience of this app at our meeting on friday:
When a user logs in they can select a category/categories of items they are looking to donate.
They can select (or enter) basic information about those items (how used are they, etc.).
After submitting, they can see matches with charities close to their geographic location accepting these items as donations. (Maybe the user can select a setting to receive notifications about matches?)
When looking at their matches, they can select 'donate.'
(like tinder for charities..)
The associated charity can see the items users would like to donate and select 'accept donation'
We also discussed having the application organize pick-up days/times (if the charity does pick-up days), so when a user selects 'donate', they can also choose a date / time from the days the charity has a pick up, and that user's location gets added to the charity's pick-up route for that day.
