There's really no situation I can see where we would want a 2d render of a point cloud to be saved as vector components in a PDF/SVG export. The large number of points bloats the exported file size and makes the result slow/unusable in readers.
Instead we should force rasterisation of point cloud layers during exports, regardless of the destination file type.
