Facebook has announced that it is introducing a new feature to limit how data sent to Facebook is used, called “Limited Data Use”.
This API option alerts Facebook to process the information as a “service provider” under the California Consumer Privacy Act. (CCPA)
To give businesses time to implement Limited Data Use, Facebook has initiated a transition period during which the default setting for California users will be that of the “limited use.”
As this plugin uses the Facebook Pixel to collect data it trial period is Jul 1, 2020-Jul 31, 2020.
After the transition period, businesses will need to implement the feature to continue data use restrictions for the participating services.
