[X] I have confirmed this occurs in the most recent version of WordPress, WooCommerce, and Facebook for WooCommerce.
[X] I have confirmed this occurs when only WooCommerce and Facebook for WooCommerce are active and when using a default WordPress or WooCommerce theme.

✍️ Describe the bug

I could not sync my Product Sets, created on my Woo store, using Facebook for WooCommerce, to show on my Commerce Manager.

🚶‍♀️ Steps to reproduce

Added the title and description and mapped to the WC product category.
Added a description and Google product category to the Product Category.
Facebook for WooCommerce → Product Sync and manually synced.

✔️ Expected behavior

I expected the Product Sets to appear on Facebook Commerce Manager.

I investigated this here p1698290218139939-slack-C7U3Y3VMY and here p1698288534727239-slack-C3NCP7ZJ6 but couldn't replicate it. It's possible the issue might be limited to specific installations.

@rawdreeg could you see if you can replicate the issue on a fresh setup? i.e., new site and new Facebook for WooCommerce connection. Dani and I narrowed it down to new FB connections.

Hello everyone, I don't know if my experience can be useful to anyone:

I too created Product Sets on the plugin that were not synchronised on Meta's Shop Manager. On viewing the logs I noticed that Meta was returning an error when calling the 'product_sets' endpoint.

I didn't investigate deeper on what the ids specified in the 'retailer_id' fields were, but what struck me as odd was the date of the logs! That was the date on which I created the product sets (and product synchronisation was switched off at that time). I subsequently reactivated the product synchronisation but there were no further calls to product_sets endpoint. Thinking about the error 'Impossibile creare un insieme di prodotti vuoto', I assumed that the sets must be created when the products have already been created. So I changed the names of the Product Sets in the plugin and finally found them in the Shop Manager.

Could this be? It would still be strange because one would have to make sure, afterwards, to update the associations to the sets when, for example, a new product is created!

I'll follow this thread and say hello in the meantime!

Yes. Meta does not allow for an empty set to be created. Unfortunately.

It would still be strange because one would have to make sure, afterwards, to update the associations to the sets when, for example, a new product is created!

The set is associated to a WooCommerce category. With this in mind, every time a new product is created and has a category linked to a set, this product will be added to an existing set. The only problem here is that at the moment of creating the set, the WooCommerce category should not be empty.

Just to clarify... You say that the WooCommerce category should not be empty, but my problem was not that (the categories are in fact largely populated on WC). My problem was that, at the time I created the Product Sets, the products had not yet been synchronised to Meta (I had just deleted the whole catalogue due to some inconsistencies - that's why the synchronisation was switched off). When the product synchronisation had already taken place, then the update of the Product Sets was correctly reflected in the Meta catalogue.

Yes, you're right. I misspoke. The WooCommerce category should be populated with products already synced to Facebook. As Facebook needs to match the product in the set to existing product in the FB catalog
