Hi, I'm trying to get to the bottom of this error that's showing on my login page when I have the Password Protected plugin active. The whole error message showing at the top of my screen is:

Deprecated: login_headertitle is deprecated since version 5.2.0! Use login_headertext instead. Usage of the title attribute on the login logo is not recommended for accessibility reasons. Use the link text instead. in /home/reasons2/public_html/helenegoldberg.com.au/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5088

The website is https://www.helenegoldberg.com.au

Thanks for your help with this.

Is the showing on the WordPress admin login page (where you enter username and password) or the Password Protected login screen with just a single password field?

HeleneFG commented 4 years ago

Hi Ben,

It was showing on the Password Protected login page.

Hi Ben,

Actually, that message is now showing along the top of my screen on the wp-admin login page. Here’s the link:

Hi Helene,

If you are getting that message on the main WordPress login page, it's more likely the error is being caused by another plugin or your theme.

Are you using a plugin to theme your login screen, or is that functionality part of your theme?

HeleneFG commented 4 years ago

Hi Ben,

I’m using your Password Protected plugin and the Custom Login Page Customizer for that page too. They’re the only plugins I have for that login page.

Then for the WP login page, I don’t have any plugins. I’m using Elementor Pro with a theme designed with Elementor Pro, and I have other plugins too of course, but I only started getting this error message when I activated your plugin. Otherwise it doesn’t show. I’ll be launching my website In about 3 weeks, so unless you can think of anything I should do, I think I’ll just leave it. It’s only me who sees it, and it really doesn’t seem to interfere with anything else. Hopefully!

Helene
