Possible to complete game without completing Hyrule Sewers

I don't know if it's intentional, but I was able to complete the main quest (Book of Mudora) without grabbing the page of the Hyrule Sewers first.

I don't remember how I did it, I guess I just continued with the other dungeons.

I continued playing after completing the main quest, searching for goodies and stuff. Eventually I wanted to complete the Hyrule Sewers. I finally found the missing key (which took me AGES), unlocked the door to the final big chest.

I opened the chest and … this happened:

• “treasure gotten” sounds plays
• Link holds a page of the Book of Mudora in the hand
• NO dialog text appears (unlike all the other pages I collected earlier
• Later I noticed the inventory menu has completely broken down. I could no longer select items, only save and quit. Luckily I was able to repair my config file somehow but I don't remember which variable it was (so many cryptic numbers!), but I guess it was the variable counting the pages of the book of mudora

So apparently I completed the game with one page of the Book of Mudora missing, yet I somehow managed to obtain a complete book of mudora (and enchant it).

I was not even aware the Sewers had a book page before completing the game, so I was completely unaware of the bug until I actually completed the Sewers. So because I don't remember every detail, I can NOT offer you a precise list of steps to reproduce (sorry!).

I had the same bug, it can be fixed by editing i1807 in the saveX.dat file. Mine was i1807 = 9 when the bug occurred and changing the value to 8 fixed it for me. I'm not sure when that page should be acquired, but for me it was after the Tower of the Winds.
