Hi William,

Thank you very much for this nice package. I recently updated from version 4.8 to 5.2 and after I had done that it was no longer possible to load my twix files in python. By downgrading the package worked fine again. I am using Python3.9

It did not work either on non spatial and spatial data.

I think this will be a simple issue with a new feature in nump adn what versiong you need. I foolishly made the check on python version rather than numpy version. I need to figure out which version this works for.

I'd suggest creating a new environment to get around this bug for now. For example conda create -c conda-forge -n new_env python=3.9 numpy gives me python 3.9.16 and numpy 1.24.2 where this typing syntax works.
