But the power manager in KDE is not recognizing the battery.
Try to use sudo acpiconf -i0
to query battery status. If it wont help, there are chances with tweaking BIOS settings or hw.acpi.osname loader variable.
Also the Fn keys are not working.
There can be 2 reasons:
sudo socat /var/run/devd.pipe -
. After one has been catched you can feed it to devd. See /etc/devd/asus.conf for example. So cannot change the brightness.
That is normal as brightness support is too quirky. You can try.
dmesg throws a lot of errors.
12.1-RELEASE is not recommended for use with I2C part of iichid. You should use at least 2020-year 12-STABLE
Thanks @wulf7! Sorry for being late! I tried some of those solutions without success, and unfortunately I don't have enough time to stick to solve them :(
I'm an owner of GL553VD ROG Asus laptop and I recently migrated to FreeBSD. I installed this great driver, which helped me to work with the TouchPad. But the power manager in KDE is not recognizing the battery. Also the Fn keys are not working. So cannot change the brightness. I'm not sure if my problems are related to this repository, but let's give it a shot :) Also I believe the following information would help you as
dmesg
throws a lot of errors. Thank you for your time.and
