Very superficial overview:

mainlycode/code-quality => https://packagist.org/packages/mainlycode/code-quality This uses https://github.com/phpro/grumphp which we have started to implement. I like it's readme on installing (use cp to copy default template), how to to scan the whole code and how to use in Continuous Integration.

philwc/code-quality => https://packagist.org/packages/philwc/code-quality karriere/code-quality => https://packagist.org/packages/karriere/code-quality I noticed these use also the extra step of adding scripts section in the composer.json which we want to get rid of.
