[SUGGESTION] Addition of the "Multi-Hotbar" mod #221

Hi,

I have been blessed with supreme QoL improvements after discovering this mod when watching the Hexxit 2 Let's Play by one of the official pack contributors (ACGaming, man's GOATED btw. leave him a like if you care, check him out if you speak german) After, I myself had the honor to bless quite some people already with the addition of this mod to my own Hexxit 2 server and their client, and it always immediately improved their QoL immensely. Based on this experience, I believe the offical inclusion would benefit a wide range of players, thus I make the suggestion.

Here the link: https://legacy.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/multi-hotbar

I did some good amounts of testing and have found some minor annoyances (already posted one on mod's github issue tracker, but seems abandoned). AC also played a good amount with it, and afaik had no troubles. So overall it seems that there are no major problems or confilcts with the mods in this pack specifically, atleast when it comes to what's conceivable in-game. I would appreciate it if someone with coding proficiency could take a look under the hood before/if it gets added, just to make sure.

Thoughts?

Multi-hotbar functionality alters the gameplay quite a bit and I believe is not true to the original Hexxit. I assume this is more of a subjective quality-of-life improvement rather than a widely-agreed one. Nevertheless feel free to add it yourself, and I will keep this suggestion open for potential further discussion.

I see. Since you seem incredibly experienced and knowledgable, I fully trust your opinion that this woudln't positively influence most players' experience. As you already mentioned, at the end of the day it doesn't matter too much since anyone can add simple mods like this one by themselves if they wish to do so. Thank you for keeping the suggestion up, since one of my goals with it was to... I guess just get the word out to more people.

At first I also doubted the necessity of an additional hotbar, but then I also realized that it feels like there are way more items than back in the olden times of Hexxit 1, so it made sense again. (Note; I haven't actually verified if it's more, but it damn well feels like it.)

Now that I am thinking about it more... Just out of curiosity, could you be bothered to elaborate on your point on how it "alters gameplay quite a bit"? I myself can't quite form an example on what you mean. One thing I could come up with, was that maybe you would like to preserve the "difficulty" of having to manage one's hotbar and inventory? And increased hotbar slots would interfere with that?

Another thing that sparked my mind, what if the others and I have been playing the pack in an "unintended" way that makes us unnecessarily feel the need to keep using multiple hotbars? Mhmmm much to think about indeed...

Considering my many questions, I would appreciate it if you could manage a response in your undoubtedly full schedule dear Jon. But no hassle!

Thanks for everything so far, Cheers~

By saying that it alters the gameplay, I'm simply referring to the fact that is a new and unexpected feature for Minecraft which is known for having a single hotbar. It's not that big of a deal, but nevertheless at this point I don't want to add such feature to Hexxit II by default :)
