Statistics have stopped #40

Hi,

My statistics stopped being compiled for both of my quizzes in August - I just took the quiz to test it and the stats didn't reflect this.

Any ideas? I used the repair database option, but didn't seem to fix the problem

I have the same problem. People complete the quiz. They get their email results. Admin does not get email results and the results do not show up under statistics. Any ideas?

Also, if I enable Leaderboard, the results do appear, so they are being captured.

this is different from #41 from the report it sounds like no stats are shown?

Statistics stopped with the new version of WP and there are lots of guys waiting this issue. Please help.

What version nsaral? Can you expand on how the statistics stopped working? I have just recently setup a test site, latest WP... stats are working, but there were a couple of issues. First the default setting to prevent stats spam prevents more than 1 recorded stat per user, per quiz. You can set that to 0 to track all stats. Second issue I noticed is that trying to activate stats for the quiz fails from the stat tracking page. Instead go to edit quiz, check the box setting for track stats.

Hi,

You know that the problem is occurred after the new WP 4.6 or 4.7, 2 months ago. There are lots of guys effected from this issue.

There is no problem with stats 0 “track for all stats” and no problem with activate stats. All boxes are OK besides nothing changed in time. After new WP some statistics are working some of them not. After your WP-Pro-Completed nothing changed too.

tdugdale says in his report that the stats are collected, and he can see that because he has the leaderboard setup. What about you nsaral, do you have leaderboard? Can you check to see if the stats are stored.

It makes a big difference in debugging to know if the problem is "stats not stored" or "stats store, but not displayed".

WP Pro Quiz Completed would not solve the stats not stored problem, if that is the issue. It is only able to display stats already stored, and it should display the exact same results shown in the admin stats.

I ran 3 different tests on a simple quiz. I took the test as admin, as anonymous user, and as basic subscriber user. All 3 results are shown in the quiz stats. These tests did not reproduce the issue.

Perhaps there are different settings in the quiz that cause the problem? Or it involves different user roles?

When you view stats on your site for a quiz, do you see old stats, or no stats at all?

You mentioned some stats work, others do not... maybe the failure is in one type of quiz? Do you use different quiz types, any chance all the failing ones are from same type?

You mentioned some stats work, others do not... maybe the failure is in one type of quiz? Do you use different quiz types, any chance all the failing ones are from same type?

I had the same problem aka the statistics were not populating although people were taking the tests - I managed to get them fixed by disabling the admin email notification sending. I have not tested what happens if I still keep the email notifications on for the people taking the tests. Will examine it later today.

I've got the same problem - if i turn on admin notification by email - stat's are not recorded

Thanks everyone. This gave me a bit of a panic but as soon as I turned the emails off it was ok. However, this has happened to me before I even tried the emails. I hope goldhat can deliver a fully functional plugin once they're done

hey can you give us a facility to list all result base time ? i mean spent time to each Quiz . Thank you.

Quick update on the emails. My quiz is recording statistics and sending emails out to both the quiz taker and a company email. Worked on WP 4.7 and still working on WP 4.8.2.

I just made sure my SMTP details were correct and then it started recording stats and sending emails. You can use a plugin like WP-SMTP to make things easier. So if your site can send emails, then the quiz stats should be recorded.
