[offtopic] Need to skip initial setup screen because my touch doesn't work #52

Hello

I'm requiring help about my vita 1000 on 3.65 with plugins/hacks in the internal memory (don't know if they are still there after full reset but I have copies of the folder on an sd card)

Recently I tried to take out the 3g module and the drill screwdriver I used chipped some traces on the circuit board now the touch capability doesn't work (tried a new screen as well).

At first I thought it was a software issue so I full reset everything. Now much to my dismay, initial setup screen requires touch capability but I can't go past it. I usually play emulators so touch is something I don't need.

Is there any way to bypass this? I have sd2vita as well as an official 4GB memory card. I also have an external usb chip flasher and my backups (I think) from the Q/CMA PC app.

Could there be a premade preconfigured firmware to put in the root of the SD/or CMA app to trigger the flashing etc.? Or maybe external nand flashing type like Xbox rgh? Tried DS4 but bluetooth doesn't autoconnect :(

Please help me go past the initial setup screen

Thank you

You can try press L button at boot to skip plugin loading.

That's not it friend, I'm talking about a complete reset which forces you to use touch screen for the first setup.

You should probably consider reddit or the henkaku discord channel. Are you able to load plugins? If so, it's possible to program a plugin that controls the Vita (and fakes touch input) via wifi for example.

"Are you able to load plugins"

I'm assuming so. Because I stayed on 3.65 with bootloader hack. If the complete reset didn't break it, I should be able to do so, even if I can't control the device.

"(and fakes touch input) via wifi"

But that would mean I had to finish the initialsetup (which I can't) to setup the wifi as well, considering vita wouldn't auto connect wifi at that stage :(

My best take on this is whatever happens after the initial setup (creation of files in specific places or maybe something else) should be baked in the firmware then flashed via CMA or the safe boot menu and/or those files copied to SD/Official memory card to be triggered copy via either CMA or external nand/memory writing via soldered USB flashers...

Edit: OR...

I don'T know how PS TV handles this considering it doesn't have touch support. If it doesn't have initial setup/or its initial setup doesn't have the swipe to open section, perhaps the firmware could be edited to omit that section for vita...

Another option is to write a plugin that creates a mouse-like touch cursor which can be moved with the analog sticks

Ouch. I've been told the hard reset removed my henkaku hack, and I can't load any plugins.

Without an edited firmware I think I'm sol.

You'd better ask on reddit/discord because I don't know if this is possible.

Thanks for your time anyway man.

I asked in discord and some people tried to help but alas, they couldn't.
