DOC: Provide reason to enable `watch` if using external keyboard #71

Open mastermach50 opened 1 month ago

I have noticed that on my system (Hyprland on a laptop with external keyboard) if watch is not enabled only the laptop's inbuilt keyboard has the remaps and not my external USB keyboard even if the USB keyboard was plugged in during boot.

Such a situation was never mentioned in the docs so I never realized why I was having issues with my remaps.

I hope that this can be mentioned in the docs or the troubleshooting section.

Hm. I can imagine why this would work the way it does -- usb keyboard is recognized by udev later than the built-in one even though physically it is plugged in from the beginning.

I can definitely add a note to the docs, but wanted to ask @k0kubun first -- is this expected behavior of --watch?

Also @VTimofeenko Hyprland moved away from wlroots 3 days ago so it no longer falls under the wlroots category

This repo only provides packaging and configuration, so issues with the new version of hyprland are best reported to upstream. I haven't tried it yet personally.

@VTimofeenko There are no issues with Hyprland. I just meant that since Hyprland moved away from Wlroots it needs to be its own category.
