Trying to fix the MT7610U chipset driver by MediaTek so it's usable on modern Linux kernels and with nl80211/NetworkManager (and not completely breaking on old ones, maybe...)

Hi,

If I understand it correctly, there is currently no way to make an AP with an Archer T2U on Linux ? That's unfortunate, as that's why I bought it. I realise now it's in the TODO, is this something actually being worked on or just an idea ?

Thanks for your interest in the project. Unfortunately currently this is not being actively worked on by me. For now, I am only doing minimum maintenance on this project like merging pull requests. It might be worth checking if MediaTek has released any new drivers for this or similar adapters. I remember that they used to copy the source tree for multiple adapters and all the source code trees got out of sync. Maybe one of them added AP creation support.
