Virus detection #180

Hello,

Pretty much ever single app that I obfuscate using confuserEX gets detected by antiviruses. Using the anti-debug feature alone is enough to flag the application. The issue here is that my software is used by thousands of people who are sending emails on a daily basis asking me why my app is shown as a virus. Is there anything I can do here?

Hi, I just used VirusTotal to scan one of my test exe, and result shows that 4 anti-viruses detect it. Most of them are quite generic and easy to trigger. I don't know the detection rate of your application so I can't do much on that. Anti-viruses are known to frequently flag ConfuserEx processed files so the only advice I could give is to contact the anti-virus vendor to whitelist your application.

Im having the same issue, i packaged my application and obfuscated all my dll's with maximum settings and all options and Avast picks it up as Win32:Ego-Gen [susp].
