Finalize Details of Weaver Awards Proposal #15

Open PuriyaMirza opened 1 year ago

PuriyaMirza commented 1 year ago

Add a few more details to finalize proposal:

Michael asked for clarification on the phases: Opening page (Call for submissions) done by mid February, other pages and application management by April 1?

Michael asked: "Is the cost estimate for both phases?" (I am assuming yes)

He also asked for some more details on how it would specifically work, especially to the application management expectations.

I tagged this as wv-cssserver for now because that's the only one I have permission to edit.

Let’s break cost & time estimate into segments, and Michael can decide which are priority:

CMS allowing clients to customize coming soon & call for applications page

For extra 5-10 hours per Awards we can set up a fully functional application system using 3rd party tool (like Typeform). Just requires manual action on our end for each Awards launch. Not fully automated.

35 hours (25 me, 10 you) ~$3,600 (factoring in retainer agreement)

CMS expansion allowing clients to list winners (bios, headshots, projects, etc.)

25 hours (15 me, 10 you) ~$2,500 (factoring in retainer agreement)

Application Management System

40 hours (30 me, 10 you) ~$4,150 (factoring in retainer agreement)

AMS expansion allowing client jury to add notes and choose winners all in-system

30 hours (20 me, 10 you) ~$3,000 (factoring in retainer agreement)

My 100 hour estimate was all but 4th phase.

unitof commented 1 year ago

I’m thinking 1 phase per month, MAYBE 2 if it is the only major Weave project going on.

@PuriyaMirza relying on you (PM of course, client comms, QA testing, UI thoughts) for each of these! If you won’t be available or think you will need more/fewer hours, comment here! Or in Google Doc.

@unitof I will be available to help in any way with this as much as I can! I'm enjoying the work and would love to be more involved.
