I don't know which regions this effects (I'm in Scotland, Europe), but I've an email from Nissan officially announcing the end of my NissanConnect EV support from 1st April 2024.
May I just thank the maintainers of this software package and all like it who have tried so hard to support it as long as possible:
Email from Nissan reads:
Your NissanConnect EV App to be discontinued by April 1, 2024
Dear Customer,
We are writing to inform you that the NissanConnect EV app currently linked to your vehicle [MY VIM NUMBER] will shut down in preparation of the 2G technology sunset. This will affect Nissan LEAF and eNV200 vehicles produced up until 2016.
The discontinuation of the NissanConnect EV app is related to the Mobile Network Operators’ decision that impacts all car manufacturers using the same 2G technology.
As a result, you will not be able to use your NissanConnect services remotely through the NissanConnect EV app from April 1, 2024.
We want to reassure you that key features such as the Climate Control Timer and Charging Timer are directly accessible in your car’s Navigation System. Please refer to the videos here, your Nissan Driver’s Guide or Owner Manual for further guidance on how to use these features onboard.
Thank you for being a Nissan owner and for your support.
