Cannot find anime based on clear title #558

I have been trying to get Trackma to recognize the show titles, but so far had no success.

I would think this is clear considering the first thing is the show name but maybe im wrong.

Death Note - 01x01 - Rebirth.mkv

Do i need to change my shows naming scheme? Also im using the plex tracker and Mal if that helps.

What does "01x01" mean here?

Wraithstalker90 commented 3 years ago

S01E01 i thought it used plex's Metadata but that might be the problem.

FichteFoll commented 3 years ago

S01E01 notation is supported in #547, but I've never seen 01x01 before. If you could point me to a reference of this, I'll gladly add it to my PR, however.

It was the default for the renaming program i use "Rename My TV Series". I switched to S01E01 after plex had problems with certain shows but not all of my collection has been changed.

Below is the program's website https://www.tweaking4all.com/home-theatre/rename-my-tv-series-v2/

The problem I see here is that something like 1x1 could reasonably be expected to refer to a part of a title. I will not add this to #547 for now, but you may of course keep this issue open if you're still interested in having that format recognized.

I already held back extending #547 with more features as I wanted to hear back from @z411 first.

that's fine, it will finally give me a kick in the butt to fix my collection's naming to all be the same. plex messes up the episode naming when its like this anyway.
