Fixes #448

Throw away state altogether.

Coverage remained the same at 85.118% when pulling 2df57b6358fa943512fa22f446ce8facd6846d52 on 448-filter-dropdown-loses-state into e02c17d2339c6936cd3a8523d7be11e20955a263 on master.
