Same problem: first frame gets loaded, cursor gets updated, but no changes are
being
rendered. The actual desktop receives input properly and the desktop changes,
the
phone however shows the same first frame and allows to see where the mouse
pointer is.

VNC Client:
G1 running cyanogen's eclair rom

VNC Host:
Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04, running Remote Desktop

Any clues would be appreciated!

I had this same problem using ubuntu on the host. I had cursor control, but the
screen wouldn't refresh. However I'm fairly certain androidVNC is not at fault.
I
switched out ubuntu's vnc server for x11vnc and had much better luck.

It seems that everyone running linex 10.04 is having the same problem. As am
I, first frame renders and that's it. I can control the host computer and it,s
monitor updates fine but I get no frames on my HTC Evo.

Same problem running vino on up-to-date stable Gentoo. Not a purely *buntu
problem. That said, I also don't think it's the viewer's fault - replacing vino
with x11vnc fixed the problem.

I'm having the same problem. Running TightVNC 1.3 on Windows 7 (androidvnc
won't connect at all for me on TightVNC 2.0). Phone is HTC Inspire.
