lol I've never even read that message before...it is indeed confusing
the text on the "unlock" button doesn't tell you about any extra content that might get unlocked either.
Lets type out the messages just so we have them at hand:
Original Unlock button hover (in white color)
Unlock
Remove the lock on this Episode.
If you do not progress through the Episodes in order, you will probably be confused and lose interest.
We strongly recommend that only those who have played the previous Episodes use this feature.
Original Locked episode hover content (in red color)
Warning!
This Episode is locked.
These locks will be removed each time you finish an Episode. Please read through the previous Episode first.
However, if you have already played the preceding Episodes, you can remove this lock with the Unlock button.
TBH I would just remove the "Warning" message altogether, and just have the unlock one, but change it a little

NOTE: This button may also unlock some items on the main menu. Be sure to check if any new items have appeared.
It has come to my attention that this particular image has confused some users.
The thing is, the warning does nothing to mention tea parties or ????s. The lack of this has lead to some people unlocking the episode manually, without first reading through the tea party and ????.
It would be good to implement clearer phrasing here, but I'm not exactly sure how to do it. Change the 4th line to "Please read through the previous episode, tea party and ???? first" is an obvious choice, but it spoils the existance of tea parties and ????, which aren't really revealed until the end of EP1. However, this is a minor spoiler.
Alternatively, the 3rd line could be changed to say "These locks will be removed automatically each time you finish an episode." This clarifies it slightly, but could still lead to mistakes.
Any better suggestions are also welcome, as I'm still unsure of what is the best way to handle this, or even if we need to at all.
This also applies to Answer Arcs, as the image we use is the same one.
