moving the conversation here to not flood HA's issue

Thanks for the info! I did get the sporadic image, but I didn't get the how and when 😉 after that frustration I did stop my premium account. Do you know if it does work without the premium? I remember that was a topic of conversation earlier.

Hi ! Others might confirm, but I never had any picture on my setup; and never had a subscription. I'd go to the conclusion that no premium = no feed, probably for the same reason you can't access it via the web browser.

I'll also keep my comments about the new free tier that makes me feel like i've been robbed of what little service was left from the original promise when I bought these cameras years ago. :) /rant.

Yeah I feel the same about the new free tiers. I was also one of those that backed this kickstarter (or indigogo?) back then and witnessed how we lost more privileges now and again. But hey, that's the world we live in 😉

I honestly do not know if this will work with the free tier.. I can't proxy into the app to see what calls are made there and can only go off the web version. I know I never had and image or video for the years I had my canary in Home Assistant, only had the temp, humidity and air quality sensors, until I fixed it. That was forced by the humidity and air quality sensors not having any data due to changes in what Canary returned from the API a few months back.

I know the free tiers do not have access to the Desktop (web browser) streaming of video, which is what the component is based off of, as that's all that can be seen. I still check every Canary app release to see if I can view anything new.. but so far, no dice.
