Why should I not specify both -g and -G to pw useradd? #3

The pw manual page notes:

 -G grouplist  ... Note: do not add a user to their primary group with grouplist.

What's the problem with that?

I currently do that in add-nixbld-users to avoid some errors I was getting (see https://github.com/0mp/freebsd-ports-nix/commit/ce22fb4f0847d7d37f1a041d256a3c7c97e810e1).
