it depends on the game
if game uses JVS IO for controls - it will use controls configured at Arcade
Joy3 and Joy4, for example RingOut 4x4, try it - it works
if its a Capcom games, wich uses weird Maple bus kit/converters (read - for DC
gamepad) - for Player 3 and 4 used controls configured Dreamcast Joy2 and Joy3
so, you must configure gamepad for player 3 at DC JOY2, and gamepad for player
4 at DC JOY3.
on the video as I see - you have gamepad 1 at DC joy 1, and gamepad 2 at DC joy
2, this is wrong
anyway, our team thinks this is not bug or problem.

And player 2 where?
It's 4-Players, and it's a Naomi game, so ticket title is correct. Do what you
please but the truth is that it's broken.
I can do what you suggested and have no mirrored input at the expense of losing
4-Player support but then what I get are messed up controls, did you check?
it's also stated as a bug in the ticket. All 4 controllers share the same
button configuration yet 2 players (3P and 4P) jump with Y button (bad) and one
with A button (good) among other things.

works fine here,
Player 1 - configured keys at Arcade Joy 1
Player 2 - configured keys at Arcade Joy 2
Player 3 - configured keys at Dreamcast Joy 2
Player 4 - configured keys at Dreamcast Joy 3
and its not "Naomi 4 players", its Capcom's crap. only Capcom uses such weird
input setup, instead of proper JVS IO (2x daisy chained) as rest of Naomi games
with 3-4 player support.
anyway, you was already told - our team thinks there is no problem, it works as
expected and as was planned.
take it as is, or not use this emulator.

It doesn't work like that here.
Player 3 at Dreamcast Joy 3 (works)
Player 4 unresponsive in Joy 4 or anywhere else (in Joy 3 it identifies as
Player 3)
Also how do you explain that I had to switch the PUSH 2 and 3 buttons in Arcade
Joy 2 when in 4 Player mode? If not it won't behave as Player 1 for example.
Something odd is happening. I won't make a video now since I'm tired, but
already you know how I got the thing configured up.

"Player 4 unresponsive in Joy 4 or anywhere else"
make sure in "Maple device manager" PORT C set to "Controller"
the best explanation - you have messy/wrong configuration files, delete
padDemul.ini and configure controls from scratch, or even better delete all
.ini files and do clean config.
also, if you use some "repack" of emulator (usually very wrong preconfigured)-
dont use it, or at least report bugs to makers of such repacks, but not here.

" make sure in "Maple device manager" PORT C set to "Controller" "
Just check my videos please, included the new one.
There isn't better explanation than a video showing in your face the control
setup in the emulator. So that's what I did again. No messy configuration
files, just things working the wrong way they do "in the emulator".
I have AHK scripts set up to change controller buttons automatically, so it's
VERY EASY for me to debug, change player buttons, etc. And nothing you have
said in relation to 4-Players is working so far. At least tell me where
JOY_3START should go.
My demul build CRC is 6535C4AB, is it familiar to you?

are you fucking blind ? I told you already 2 times - for player 3 you must
configure DC Joy 2, NOT 3 !!
for player 4 - DC joy 3, NOT 4!!! like on your video
it works this way for me
it works for the rest of team
it works for other users
obviously problem just in you

What cock did you suck man?
Put my video between his belly and your eyes.
if player 3 works that way for me, then it proves it doesn't for your method.
I FUCKING SAID, YOU FUCKING SAW MY SETUP, YOU FUCKING SAW MY SERVICE MENU.
ARE YOU FUCKING BLIIIIIIIND!
Proof or bug
suckerz...

You mean your team? Mickey, Pluto & company?
Here, in the real world it's bugged.
And even if it wasn't you don't make an emulator for accuracy, you make it for
playability.
This crappy set up, even if it was Capcom's fault in origin should be addressed
transparent to end user.
Besides, as I said buttons are switched.
Fix it or swallow, faggot.

well, its bugged only in YOUR'S personal world, in real one it's OK
also I/we make this emulator not for accuracy, not for playability, or whatever
you are thinking, but for fun. moreover, no one will do something just because
you want something, its not commercial project, you didnt pay for it, so take
it as is or not use, silently.
as for insulting me - I'd wish you come to the country I'm living, here is war
now, real war, so faggots like you, which tends to insulting people, have high
chances to swallow some dose of plumbum here hehe.

Your reasoning was lost from the moment you decided to tag a valid ticket as
invalid.
won't fix != invalid
I imagine yourself, bullets flying over your head while debugging code for
ancient games, yes debug, debug not for accuracy but for the laughs, ain't that
contradictory? such a troll
Do what you please, but the ticket is living.

no one can reproduce issue you reported = invalid, not 'wont fix'
im tend to think your PERSONAL windows system is buggy and/or full of various
shitty software, which wont let emulator to works as was planned.
anyway, here is not you decide what and how must be named.
please build your own emulator, so then some morons will tell you what to do,
how much to swallow, and how to proper name things.
is it clear ?

The arrogant of you clearly haven't even tested, why do I know? Because you
even didn't bother to check my videos and know that I already had Port C set as
Controller.
You already made it clear that my PC must be utter crap, my OS is borked, full
of virus and bloatware, running a repack version of Demul, my padDemul.ini is
also broken and apparently I am a teenager rat kid born in the states.
*Applause*
That's how you get morons. I have several personal projects and haven't had
issues with anyone.
