hi there,

at present I am working on examining the biomechanical changes of the knee in athlete with anterior cruciate ligament injury through musculoskeletal modelling. The parameters I consider in this study include joint contact force, ligament elongation pattern(Length changes(, and muscle force in one gait cycle. I do not know how dimensionality each of these data,,Can I use spm to analyze this data? What steps should I take to use spm? Can you guide me?

Judging whether or not SPM can be used depends directly on the data dimensionality. If the variables you mention (contact force, muscle force, etc.) change throughout (one-dimensional) time, then the data can be regarded as "1D" and spm1d can indeed be used.

This forum is meant as a discussion hub for specific data and software issues. If you are looking for more general guidance (regarding software installation, general software use, interpretations, etc.), please consider the online workshop, where all software essentials are covered in detail.

thanks a lot I live in Iran and due to sanctions I can not pay for the workshop and I want to use the spm method for my study, what solution do you suggest so that I can participate in the workshop?
