Enhancement idea: multilingual interface #29

Any plans on supporting multiple languages? Might be a nice touch for this
already very complete client!

And if so: I'd be willing to do the Dutch translation :)

resx-file for my lang contains untranslated messages which present in 
corresponding po-
file.
Problem is that the fully translated messagess from po-file doesen't moves to 
resx-
files for my language.
elso.and... said that he wrote a small program to update resx-files from 
po-files. So I 
need this tool. Can you give it to me, elso?

I download the latest version and when I installed there's no Brazilian 
Portuguese
option. What did happen?

hmm maybe this little proggy, which elso wrote, could do the opposite thing, i 
mean
extract fields to translate to .po files so it could be done by ourselves 
(basically
coz latest .po files don't have all strings to translate, if i'm wrong plz 
correct
me). also what should we do to make this translated strings work after 
compilation,
coz although they are translated they don't show as such in program.

P.S elso could you make a link on main page to latest svn builds, it's usefull 
to
have this builds around.

The po "converter" is here: http://elbandi.net/transmission-remote-
dotnet/TranslationConverter.exe . Simpy run: TranslationConverter.exe 
c:\here\is\the\trd\project

The translated resx files generated in language directory, move it to right 
place, 
and compile trd.

I dont sync resx files, until a feaute is under development. (because some 
strings 
may change). but now the rss download feaure is done, i synced the translations.

(And "elso" is my family name, called "first" :D)

andras, this tool after execution processed resx-files and at the end displays 
error 
«mscorlib: Данный ключ отсутствует в словаре.» 
Translation to english: «This key is 
missing in the library».
In the Languages folder resx-files not generated.

@andras, now there are new missing keys:
System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: Данный ключ 
отсутствует в словаре.
   в System.ThrowHelper.ThrowKeyNotFoundException()
   в System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.get_Item(TKey key)
   в TranslationConverter.Program.Main(String[] args)

Works better but now one more feature request. TranslationConverter.exe ignores 
updated 
translations in po-file and not moves them to resx-file with old translation.

So I'm tired of messing with po-files and converted my po-file to the 
translation 
memory it TMX format. Then I adopted translation in the omegaT — free CAT 
tool — and 
exported translated resx-files.
Attached file contains updated Russian resx-files and TM in the TMX format.
Forget about po.

3.22 is only a "maintenance" update: add the "update to beta" checkbox with 
some other  
fix. No other plan with them.

I want to release next beta, so therefore need that checkbox.

Although most strings were translated in new version columns are untranslated
(although they were in earlier version) maybe some info what's wrong?

Hey, i'd like to enhance current french translation (it needs new strings 
translation, corrections + minor changes). Can i edit english.xml to do that or 
do i need something else ?

Mascarade: get the fr-fr.po file from languages directory, translate the new 
strings (a good po editor help to you), and attach the good po file here.

Ok, fr-fr.po translated from 55 to 98%. Improved several things too. The 
untranslated 2% correspond to five strings i couldnt find in TR and translate 
accurately :-)

New fr-fr.po tested on r629 - finishing + very last strings

... BTW, i noticied "add torrent with options" panel still was untranslated 
while it was translated in the PO file. Is it because some strings were a bit 
more lenghty than original ones ? I made all i can to shorten them anyways

Mascarade: thx, some resx files was missing. But has the "Incomplete download 
to" string  a typo in french translation? (Downolads vs Downloads)

It is a mistake, the right word is "download" of course. Just updated the .po

Can you update the TranslationConverter.exe please?
Furthermore at the moment it's a little bit confusing but it seems, that your 
TranslationConverter.exe doesn't works to 100%. The reason for my conclusion 
it, that the German .po file inlcude some strings which aren't use in the .resx 
files. Also some strings are missing in the po file and some are too much. I 
will get you a whole summary when the time isn't so busy.

Just put this tmx to the omegat subfolder of the created omegaT project for trd.

Updated polish translation

P.S. Could you explain how to use new translations with own compilation, what 
to update, except .po file to make it work with program version compiled at ow 
pc?

P,P.S. Could you make new .po files with all original strings, although they're 
already translated they need to be fixed.

Was missing Swedish translation so I whipped up something. Please feel free to 
include it in the next release.

While I made the translation I realized there are some places where the menu 
items actually retrieve their text from the toolbar translation. Is that the 
expected scenario?

mattias: the ContextMenus are generated at runtime, the strings are coming from 
other components (eg toolbar)

For others: generated new po files, pls translate/verify the strings.
