Finish the media.py unit tests #13

There must have been a misunderstanding about Ticket #12; we too will be 
using some of their tests, especially ones from the book.

However, we are rewriting some of the class unit tests because the old 
tests were all over the place in regards to what had already been tested, 
as well as the convoluted approach taken.

This task isn't actually completed yet.
