Current description

Battery and Performance (aggressive) MIUI power management (https://dontkillmyapp.com/xiaomi) That's a weird app that also contains a DRM Manager and a service related to Cloud Backup Has obviously a lot of dangerous permissions. I guess removing this package will decrease the battery performance. Is it that noticeable? Can someone try?

Proposed description

Battery and Performance (aggressive) MIUI power management (https://dontkillmyapp.com/xiaomi) That's a weird app that also contains a DRM Manager and a service related to Cloud Backup Has obviously a lot of dangerous permissions. Removing this package can and (probably will) cause bootloop. Safe to disable.

I had hidden this package using AppDash(most likely it ran the command pm hide) once before, it caused the phone to bootloop after rebooting it. I had to factory reset it afterwards. Just disabling is safe.

Include safe to disable, but not remove?

Also this repo is not maintained. Feel free to submit this PR to my fork: https://github.com/Frigyes06/universal-android-debloater

Yeah, exactly.

Can confirm uninstalling this on Redmi Note Pro 12 results in a bootloop. Disabling is fine.

I heard it used to be completely safe to uninstall when using earlier MIUI versions(If I recall correctly, the bootloop problem with uninstalling started with either MIUI 11 or 12), so I'd recommend you to take a look at that.

On the other hand, I have found this reddit post that let me completely remove many MIUI system apps without causing a bootloop.

It is possible to remove the powerkeeper app after following the instructions in that post among others, even the security app!(Source: I tried it) Removing that app will break a lot of functions though, including seeing the installed apps list through the settings or viewing app info through long pressing an app icon, apart from the obvious ones that you'd access by opening the security app.

Uninstalled it without any problems on Poco M4 Pro 5G HyperOS 1.0.1.0 I did though uninstall everything I could before touching com.miui.powerkeeper so that it will be the last thing I uninstall (anything that depends on it will no longer be there, doing it in reverse order will likely result in a bootloop?)

And of course unbind phone from Mi Account and log out or in my case I deleted account to be extra safe.

P.S. That said this user got a bootloop, although one difference is that he had miui, hyperos shouldn't be that different but plausible as to why I got away with it I'll wait and see if I get a bootloop after using phone like this for a while.

System power consumption monitor. Can be removed if you understand why. After removal, the "Settings > Battery and Performance" section will become inaccessible. However, it can still be accessed through "Security > Battery". In the same menu, the "Power Saving" option will disappear, but it actually consumes more power than normal mode. I don't recommend removing this useful application. First, it doesn't consume more than normal mode itself. Second, if you remove it, you'll lose the "Activity Control" for apps, which is available in each app's settings and in "Security > Battery > Activity Control" or "Security > Settings > Power Saving > Activity Control". The battery drains faster without background activity control for apps, this is especially noticeable in the morning when the phone isn't used overnight.
