Latest version still crashes both ps4's #74

Hi I'm running the latest firmware for luckfox pico pro max. I have problems if 2 many attempts to jailbreak, and both ps4's shutdown as if you've had a power cut. This then sends both ps4's into rebuilding hdd, which isnt good for the console. If it does succeed in jailbreaking, all okay until it's time to shut it down, and I either get 2 beeps and white light continues to flash, but never shutting down. Or I get it losing all power, and shutting down like before, like a power cut, and the rebuilding of the hdd cycle. After which when I power it up the next time, and the hdd has rebuilt, I get a blue screen from Sony, saying there is issues with the system, report issue to Sony. Obviously I haven't reported it, because I know what's causing the issue, it's the program on the device. If I remove the luckfox device no problems the system behaviour works exactly like it should. I personally think the device appears to jailbreak way to early before the system has completely booted, causing the system to panic, and shuts down to preserve the system. However the same cant be said after a successful jailbreak, no power is going to the device, except the 5v at the usb port. I have tried unplugging the device after a successful jailbreak, but problem continues regardless if the device is plugged in or not. I think you'll kill my hdd's, before finding the problem. When PPPWN- V6 it said it was compatible with all ps4's and that isnt true. I have 2 ps4's and 4 devices, all with the ability to load PPPWN or PPPWN v6 and the outcome is the same.

KP is common problem of luckfox. Sudden shutdown when restart or PS4 switch off.. so gone back to esp32s2 mod for my 9.0. I tried everything with luckfox but results is zero.

Weird, I use v1.2.2 too, but rarely KP

If I'm not mistaken, used version 1.1.0, there was a new update that I kept overwriting until it was 1.2.2 now.

FW 11.00 PPPwn IPv6 not use web server turn off after JB.

Boxingsparky commented 1 month ago

I followed the exact same way and still KP

Boxingsparky commented 1 month ago

I have followed the exact same way as LouisGarry, and problem still persists. The only thing that's repeatable is the KP.

Are you guys using NAND? @0x1iii1ii, I think I know the problem, used SD Card and it worked fine, tried using NAND and it kept KP

try v1.1.0 and let me know if the KP still occurs. Also, make sure to burn the custom image I provided for v1.1.0, both can be found in release page.

I tested on nand mini b, will try with SD and see if it indeed work without KP.

joe97tab commented 1 month ago

Restore your backup or initialize ps4 may help, just my thought.

If SD card format is stable then create SD card image convert to nand and direct flash just like alpine Linux.... Hope this idea works.
