Beginning today, November 10th, ads are showing up and playing in full. The addon does not skip them. Here is the log file you have been requesting from other users. LogDump.txt

FAQ

1. Are you using other ad blockers? No. I had UBlock Origin which I had stopped using on YouTube. I have now removed it entirely.
2. Is your Account blocked? No. YouTube has not given me the "3-strikes" warning or stopped working. The same behavior is present
3. Are you using the Supported version? Yes. I paid the $5.99 two days ago through the integrated menu in the app.
4. Other troubleshooting steps? I removed the app and added it back again. It now shows that it has blocked 0 ads.
5. Browser Information? Google Chrome. Version 119.0.6045.124 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Kindly refrain from using alternative ad blockers, especially if you've supported FadBlock through a donation. Some users combining multiple ad blockers, against the FAQ's advice, are facing detection issues, resulting in YouTube account bans. It's not a FadBlock issue in any way. It is working for people who are only using FadBlock.

Note: If YouTube has banned you, removing Adblocker Plus/Ultimate, uBlock won't work as YouTube has logged your IP, device and account data into their ban list.

But today more reports have come in, so I will try to reproduce this issue again and let you know if FadBlock has been patched in geo-specific zones or uBlock is still the culprit.

Can you try incognito mode and see if that works? (enable FadBlock to work on incognito, clear the cache as well)

I am working on setting up a server that will fetch the new patches and easily deploy instantly rather than waiting for the new version update (Google is very very slow at releasing).

v2.2 is almost done, it may take 48 hours for the dev team to release but after that, the patches will happen blazingly fast.

I am having the same issue. UBlock Origin is not active on YouTube. I have not been banned from my account. I also have never seen the popup to donate to you (which I would love to do!)

I installed it a couple of weeks ago. It stopped working after the last update until I re-enabled it (after contacting you) and was working fine until today. I also tested and it is working in Incognito.

Same issue here. Ublock is disabled on youtube. It was working fine for weeks previously. I noticed this issue yesterday, but I thought it was just some temporary bug, but it still keeps happening today.

@sergejsha, actually, the newer versions use Mutation Observer to be more performant and that version no longer works on many layers.

The new YT patch delays the readyState, and it's dabbling in READYSTATE_HAVE_NOTHING & READYSTATE_HAVE_METADATA a lot longer which is majorly causing the problem.

I think youtube is doing ab testing, and fadblock is not really working on the new version of ads. This is the new version And this is the old version

I tested in using Firefox 119.0.1, and new version is showing in normal mode while old version is showing in incognito mode. The extension still working with the old version but not the new version.

It never showed a new Firefox update, even after the author said there was one, so I uninstalled and reinstalled. It still isn't blocking ads.

Edit: I gave up, for now, and downloaded the Brave browser. So far,it's working perfectly. Not even a hint of an ad.
