Unable to install on Solaris 11

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Solaris 11
2. run configure and make
3. Error message generated from makefile

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
libndet installed. Makefile fails instead with the following:

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
libdnet-1.12. On Solaris 11

Please provide any additional information below.
I am attempting to install the latest version of snort and libdnet libraries 
are required.
