Idea: Days since mempool emptied #86

Hi!

Huge thanks for making this, exceedingly useful tool. :+1:

Just something really simple to replenish your pool of ideas:

It could be fun to observe and useful to reference. (that old JavaScript frameworks joke, anyone?)

I've actually no idea if empty mempool is something that ever happens — but it could happen in principle, right?

Thanks! That's a good idea.

I'll likely do another iteration on the site later this year and plan to include this there!

Does seem to happen!

Saw it today on mempool.space:

Several half-full blocks, 729555, 729559 — must mean that briefly, the mempool has been completely emptied, before new txs got broadcasted.

Which shows blockchain health, and that "days since mempool emptied" could be usefully informative :tada:
