ESP8266 support lost #29

Not even the example sketch can compile anymore.

Been using this great library on arduinos with great success, I wanted to port one of the projects to esp8266 and sadly noticed this too. Are there plans to add support or should I start looking for options? Any library you would suggest? Thanks
