@cpubot: I'm not super satisfied with how it looks, but it's probably conceptually the simplest way to do what you wanted to notify workers to abort early. Does this look good on your end? Note that the logic is only present for transaction proofs (i.e.
prove_root()) as aggregation / block proofs are orders of magnitude faster and don't need this special handling.
