IF YOU HAVE ISSUES, TRY BLENDER -> USD export -> UNREAL #68

I just leave this here as it seems the plugin is not further developed.

We just tried USD as a transfer format from Blender 4.2 -> Unreal 5.3. The result is pretty amazing, even takes over animations from Blender (when import into Unreal, check "skeletal animation").

I've used this for a couple of weeks, and my conclusion is it does not work, no matter what imported USDs always fail around 20% of materials, they get renamed, removing numbers at the end, adding some sometimes, replacing some by default UE material, it's very very arbitrary and unconstent, and never manages to import assets 100% correctly. The omniverse USD export/import version workes perfectly in comparison to regular USD, but, it doesn't create anything in the UE content browser only a map, so you cannot use the assets with Usync to rebuild/synch your blender scene... My last hope I guess is the paid Datasmith updated version.
