Slurs over multiple notes don't take account of stem heights

There is a problem when one tries to put a slur over a series of notes (as against 2 adjacent ones). There is an example in the Vextab sandbox which gives the impression that slurs are only supported between adjacent notes, but the result is musically incorrect:

tabstave notation=true tablature=false notes (8/2.7b9b7/3)

I cannot find a way to create a slur over multiple notes in Vextab, although it is easily done in Vexflow. In the example below you can see how the slur cuts through the note stems of the notes in the middle.

Vextab doesn't support slurs yet, just ties. Slurs over multiple notes are a WIP.

(BTW, closing this since this is the VexFlow issue list, not Vextab. Feel free to open a feature request for slurs if you want to track.)
