unsorted entries after chapterbreak #828

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. splitting with chapterbreak will sort the new section to the end of the
browser list.
2. using SGF marker, too. sometimes placing new section anywhere
3.
...

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
so the book isn't in order anymore

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
sigil 0.40ß3 , windows xp sp2

Please provide any additional information below. If your source file
(SGF/EPUB/HTML/etc) is required to fully understand the problem, please
attach it to this issue. Read the ReportingIssues wiki page before

Attach the epub file and write a test procedure that can reproduce the problem.
See the ReportingIssues wiki page.

This sounds similar to what I'm finding:-
1) I insert chapter markers before sequential chapter headings (CHAPTER ONE,
CHAPTER TWO Etc.)
2) Split on SGF chapter markers.
3) Chapter two appears between chapters 4 & 5

Update -
The error occurs if the editpoint (cursor position) is after an SGF chapter
marker i.e. halfway through the file to be split. For instance if the cursor is
between marker 3 & 4, then that section is displaced in the running order.

I'm still not able to reproduce this issue. Until someone provides me with an
epub file and a test procedure with which I can reproduce this, it stays open.

Ok, comments from issue 833 have enabled me to reproduce this (well, once). Now
to figure out what is causing this...

I have tried this file several times.

Sequence:
Load html file to Sigil.
Immediately split (f6)

BB, manifest, and spline show the same sequenc.

The problem mostly occurs in first 4 or 5 section although I have seen problems
farther down.

Thanks, but I already identified the problem 10 minutes ago and I'm currently
fixing it. This will be fixed in the next beta.

Problem still happens when Split On SGF Chapter Markers is run in Code View.
(Works correctly in Book view.)
Version: 0.40
Loaded Qt: 4.7.2

I still see this issue in:
version: 0.4.2
Loaded QT: 4.7.3
Build Time: 2011.09.02 14:20:43 UTC

I have a book that is otherwise finished, except for 5 chapters that seem to
insist that they go at the end. I can create the TOC with the chapters in the
correct order, but when I try to view the epub in Calibre, the 5 chapters are
missing. They will open in a browser when you double click on them in the table
of contents in Calibre.

When I re-order the chapters in Sigil and save, the next time I open that file,
they are back at the end instead of their proper location.
