3.rename new file to sequential match existing files.
4.rename other existing files to be sequential
5. save epub to original name
6. exit file
7. open epub with Calibre reader. Only new created files available.
8. reopen epub with Sigil and manually edit Content.opf to include all files.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
edited files would be included in existing epub. Only newly created files
were available. Editing Project Gutenberg epub.

1. Attach the epub file with which you experienced the problem.
2. Augment your test procedure with specific information on how to reproduce
the problem with that file. Which file to split and where, which file
disappeared etc.
