[Autosave] controversial choice? #474

Could you tell me if somehow I can re-activate autosave, before I was used to using it and now I keep losing my data, I completely forget that I have to save.

Today I came to work and I realized that I had lost a very long section of editing, is there a possibility to enable it again?

Or, for example, that it does it periodically and each user chooses the time of “how often it is saved in minutes”?

This option was really very useful and now I miss it a lot,

If you didn’t close your tab, when you refresh your page, it should still be there. Did you close your tab?

Oh yes for sure sometimes I completely forget that I should save manual and switch between my workflows and then because of that I lose the data.

But why is the autosave option so problematic? Isn't it theoretically the same thing?

I mean, if I save or autosave, the workflow doesn't have to crash. And it would be much better if the program would allow me to enable the autosave option. As far as I remember it never gave me any problems. Was it really a problem in the past implementation?

I feel that this is very useful. Or an optional function that I can enable through a checkbox, that allows me to tell the program, that I want it to automatically save my data, if I change workflow.
