Hi,

First of all, thanks for this amazing app. I was expecting something like this.
I make my presentations in LaTeX with beamer package and it's working perfectly
in Windows 8 64bits, I will try to install into Ubuntu 12.04 in the next few
days.

I was wondering if in future versions could have an Android app. Nowadays, I
use and app that controls my pc from the smartphone or tablet over the internet
or wifi network (safer). It would be amazing have an app that shows the next
slide and the notes from this slide in my mobile screen. In some conferences we
do not have an computer near to us to see the notes. So, control the notebook
seeing the slide or only the note would be amazing.

Best,
Leandro

Hi Leandro,

Thanks for the positive feedback, I'm glad you are able to use
open-pdf-presenter with Windows without any problem.

An Android app would be, indeed, a very nice addition to open-pdf-presenter. In
fact, as open-pdf-presenter is built, controlling a presentation remotely would
not require too much effort to implement. However, I have never built an
Android app myself and would need to learn how to do it before starting to work
on this feature.

I will keep this issue open to remind me that I should take the time to
implement this feature.

Thanks,
Luís

Luís,

You are welcome. As a solution that I tried today and works is use the
Splashtop app in my mobile and in the computer. So is it possible now to
someone use like I propose. But have a stand alone version would be amazing.

Until you don't make an Android app this is a good and free solution.

Splashtop free version only works in an intranet, but it's possible to see the
screen of the pc over the internet paying a small fee (2usd/month).

Best,
Leandro
