Not really

Could you please use the Colormap request template for this issue?

For example, I need to know what type of colormap it should be and which color(s) should (roughly) be in the colormap? Pastel colors includes a wide range of different colors, which cannot all be included in a colormap. Also, pastel colors are usually at the same lightness value, meaning that putting any lightness range into such a colormap is going to be hard. Of course, I can make a pastel colormap that does not change in lightness at all.

Light blue, pink, muted yellow. I think having a diverging colormap where the lightness not changed is also useful

It is impossible to make a diverging colormap that has no lightness changes. Also, not allowing for any lightness changes would give something similar to the phase colormap in cmocean: https://matplotlib.org/cmocean/#phase

I found an example of a pastel colormap! (although this is kinda the pastel-version of a rainbow colormap).
