Only parts of Windows 11 support this color font format.
The font works in all operating systems, but will currently only show color emoji in Firefox, Thunderbird, Photoshop CC 2017+, and Windows Edge V38.14393+. This is not a limitation of the font, but of the operating systems and applications.
I should probably that README.md text since more recent versions of Edge no longer support it.

When using the installer, or the fonts included after the installer, they will successfully install and apply upon reboot. The twemoji emojis will be applied when using the win+. menu, or checking system emojis via firefox. However, in the discord app (chromium based), channel/category names and user nicknames with emojis in them use system emojis, though only the colorless outlines of the emojis. This did not happen prior to the Win11 update seemingly. Reinstalling the Win11 defaults through uninstall.cmd works fine, and reinstalling twemoji through the .ttfs or the installer reproduce the same issue. Using a .ttf of Win10 emojis to replace Win11 emojis does not cause the outline issue like the twemoji .ttf.
