8 years ago Ok! Slight design tweaks on the two 404 pages we have. The main thing is that the red text is really scary, and we don't want that. 404 pages are already very confusing when you land on them, we don't need to be intimidating too. :)
For the 404 that shows up when the user is inside a regulation:
Main changes:
- Moving the text up to where the reg text normally sit in that section so it isn't floating.
- Making the red text black. The icons should be our dark gray #707070.
- And obviously, the fonts should eventually match the new font styles we have.
For the more general 404 page:
Main changes:
- Want the user to feel like they are still inside the platform. We should leave the "global" links they are used to on the page so they can navigate back to where they want to go.
- Text color from red to black.
The 500 page should match this generic 404 page. I have this old design from CFPB:
Do we have that kind of text / an email for ATF?
Related - atf-eregs should catch all 404s and render that page. Right now regulations-site is ignoring most 404s (as we assumed it was inside another container).
