RFQ Section 3. Period of Performance. “The Period of Performance (POP) includes a base period of 3 months, with 5 additional option periods, each 3 months in duration. Further, a contingency of up to 6 months may be exercised.”

Question/Comment

What events does the Government envision will result in exercising the option and/or contingency periods? Does the Government expect to exercise all option periods if the Contractor meets or exceeds the quality performance expectations?

The government will exercise the option periods at its discretion based on evolving development needs for the product. Quality of work may not dictate whether a subsequent option period is exercised, though will certainly be considered if there are further development needs.
