PWS. 5.0. Tasks. “Contractor shall use data validation features to verify applicant data, such as addresses, by querying outside data sources.”

Question/Comment

Will the Government provide access to the outside data sources? Is this included as part of the data and scripts to be furnished by the Government?

The short answer is yes.

The long answer is: As specified in the PWS, the winning vendor will need to first perform user research and help OPM articulate its business rules. This is useful to determine what data needs to be validated (and how). At that point the vendor, Product Owner, and 18F will determine which outside data sources / validators are appropriate.
