Remove joke footnotes

It's a good joke, it's a great joke even, but the footnotes on this page are really distracting.

Every time I try to read this page after I've been away from it for a while, I check the footnotes, assuming they have valuable information. They don't, but by the time I've realized this, my attention has been pulled away from what I was trying to accomplish.
