Is there a way to display a the client's selected benefit period? Will we need to pull these from each client system?

@EliotDK-USDA-FNS Do you mean, for example, that we would display the period of time during which disaster spending would count towards DGIL? If so, yes, I think that is possible. That could be part of configuring a specific disaster #11

Definitions

• “Disaster benefit period” or “Benefit period” - 30 day period during which eligibility is determined upon.
  • For FL, period ran Oct 8-Nov 6
  • Application period started 10/26 by phone
• “Incident period” FEMA designation for when an incident started impacting an area and when that ended.
  • Typically states will use that as a guideline, but not a definite
  • For NC, evacuations started before FEMA’s initial incident period. NC set benefit period to start from that point. FEMA shifted their incident period later.

Defining the disaster period

• Won’t be specified on FEMA Income for disaster periods < 30 days
• Income you have or will receive during the window
• Expenses you have incurred or expect to incur
• 30 days is fixed, there is never any pro-rated
• Staggering application periods is at the state’s discretion
  • Typically application period is 7 calendar days, can be consecutive or nonconsecutive. But in some instances, states have run shorter, and in some instances, FNS has granted an extension.
