Side note: I am building a more robust documentation site, inspired by http://open.fda.gov that other agencies can (ideally, theoretically) easily fork for their own documentation, but the link to our documentation will stay at http://18f.github.io/fbopen

Thinking about this a bit more... wouldn't it make the most sense to set up a custom subdomain for our github pages docs, so it looks like the same site, e.g. docs.fbopen.gsa.gov? Then we could have the various fbopen.gsa.gov/<directory_name> endpoints redirect there...

I think I missed some of the conversation one this. Questions:

• The current url for fbopen is fbopen.gsa.gov -- is this intended to be its permanent home?
• If yes, I would say that we should choose a 'slash' page to be the permanent and redirect everything to that. I suggest fbopen.gsa.gov/developer.

That said, I'm not sure the point of this issue was to choose a permanent spot, or just serve as a reminder that all four of those locations should redirect to our eventual documentation, wherever it might live eventually. It seems like it was this reminder.

I think the deal is that eventually we will redirect everything to fbopen.gsa.gov/developer, but in the meantime we could redirect everything to our current temp docs at http://18f.github.io/fbopen.
